Mentoring Program

Goals

The goals of the Mentoring Program are to:

Provide a resource for new lawyers to seek and receive advice, impart wisdom borne of experience, in matters such as:

  1. substantive areas of law and procedural issues;
  2. law office and office management related issues;
  3. the importance of being involved in Bar and community activities and in developing a support network for a lawyer's practice, whether that practice is as a solo practitioner, small, medium or large firm, in government practice, in house or in public service; and
  4. ethical responsibility and professionalism

Provide an opportunity for both personal and professional growth by assisting new lawyers in developing good character, competence, and a deeper appreciation for the profession as a whole that they can take into their future years of practice.

Improve relationships among lawyers and elevate the profession by facilitating improved professional service

The Mentoring Program of the Dade County Bar Association must not be used to establish lawyer/client relationships, reveal any client confidences, or otherwise violate the Florida Rules of Professional Conduct.
